XIth F.I.T.E. National Congress 2014 and Seminar conducted by SM Gary Miller, Benalmádena, Malaga, Spain, from 24th -26th Jan. 2014

Seminar with Senior Master Gary Miller 8th Dan
The eleventh edition of the National Congress of the International TaeKwon-Do Federation Spain, took place from 24th to 26th January 2014 in Benalmádena, (Málaga). For this occasion, the special guest was the Senior Master Gary Miller the 8th Dan. During the three days of the seminar, the participants could enjoy the immense amount of knowledge that Master Miller accumulated in his already extensive career.
Friday 24th was the training for children from 4 to 11 years old. The Sports Hall of the Institute of Arroyo de la Miel was decorated in a precise way to greet more than 80 children who were the protagonists of the call. The Master interacted constantly with children doing two hours to pass almost without realizing it. Surprised by the great reception of the call and as a bookend to the first session, the Master did not want to lose the opportunity to thank the support of the parents attending all of the training with the utmost respect. It is worth mentioning that the Spanish Federation presented a commemorative plaque to the director of the Institute in appreciation for their cooperation in the Organization of all federative events within their facilities.
Saturday morning was dedicated to color belts categories from white belt und up. Different exercises of sparring, combination of techniques and application of strategies aimed at the competition, were the motivating members to three hour where everyone gave the maximum of their performance. Completed the training and after appropriate thanks, It was prepared the examiner panel where Master Gary Miller put to the test the knowledge of the three F.I.T.E. candidates opting to obtain categories of 4th and 5th Dan. Delving deep into every detail, the examiner congratulated new settings providing all the nuances in which should be paid special attention to proceed with a proper learning.

The new promotions are:
1. Diego Bua 5th Dan
2. Fernando Zabini 5th Dan
3. Ramon Lema 4th Dan
After a short break, the evening appointment was reserved to categories of black belt 1° to 3° Dan, working all technical aspects looking for perfection necessary for precise execution.
Sunday morning was used to carry out the National Assembly of the F.I.T.E., where different topics in order to continue to evolve were treated with clear work criteria, specifying the projects to be carried out during 2014.
After the Assembly, the black belts faced the last part of the seminar from 1st Dan to 6th Dan carried out each pattern (tul) from Kwan Gae to Tong Il, looking in each repetition corrections indicated by Master Gary Miller. Once the dynamical practice was finished, participants were part of a very interesting discussion, and could ask about any topic to be of general interest. The cultural and historic part filled with knowledge to everyone that
were engaging more and more in the conversation.
To give closure to the event, the F.I.T.E. President Mr. Carlos Martín, wanted to thank all those present for their participation; members of the delegation of Andalusia who worked so intense so that Congress would be possible; the members of the Union of TKD ITF Spain with which there is a link of constant collaboration; and mainly Senior Master Gary Miller for having accepted the invitation, being an honor having counted with their presence. Meanwhile the master wanted to thank all people involved in the Seminar, recalling the first meeting with the President of the F.I.T.E. in the year 1990 in Davos, Switzerland, in his stage as high-level competitor;
whereas after 23 years traveled the ITF TaeKwon-Do in Spain is in good hands.

On Saturday night, fulfilling the required uniformity codes, the gala dinner took place. It was attended by thirty instructors with some of their family members. In a relaxed atmosphere and utmost respect he enjoyed the different stories of the participants. Different commemorative plaques were made before the end of the session:
To Andalusian Association, as the delegation with higher growth during the 2013 season.
To national coach Mr. Alejandro Veyssiere for his work performed in front of the national team.
To Mr. Francisco Espeche for his work as second coach of the national team.
To Senior Master Gary Miller in appreciation of his teachings during the 11th Congress of the F.I.T.E.

Special award with the Silver Pin of the ITF:
1. To the Instructor Mr. Alejandro Veyssiere as recognition of the work done since the Foundation of the F.I.T.E. and as national coach.
2. To the Instructor Mr. Diego Bua for his work and continuous collaboration since the creation of the F.I.T.E. and as former national coach.
3. To the instructor Mr. Antonio Blanco for his work and continuous collaboration since the creation of the F.I.T.E. and as former national coach.
4. To the Instructor Mr. Maximiliano Montiel by having demonstrated their great capacity for growth in the years in the F.I.T.E., and as Junior national coach.
